APWT Server issue?

We are experiencing some major issues with a few of our WordPress websites that use the APWT widget. The pages are not loading correctly and we are getting an error message that reads something like this:

error in apwt_remote_get



So while the main part of the error has differed, the main part of the error that i'm concerned with is the last part "error in apwt_remote_get" This has happened on at least three of our sites now. It never lasts very long, like after a few minutes its back to normal, but it seems as if your APWT plugin for WordPress is what is causing the issue
