Hello
I am running into an issue on a clients site. I am editing their footer right now. Each time I make any change in the footer and save it, I get this message:
This page isn’t working
Chrome detected unusual code on this page and blocked it to protect your personal information (for example, passwords, phone numbers, and credit cards).
Try visiting the site's homepage.
ERR_BLOCKED_BY_XSS_AUDITOR
The changes saved, so that's not a problem - but I need to go back and and go back into the footer to continue making changes.

This just means that there is some HTML in the footer that chrome does not want to show you when you save the page and the page reloads. The page is being saved correctly.
There is probably a setting that you can change in your chrome so that you do not see this error any more.
