Download Contacts with Custom Fields

What the difference between the data contained in the csv file for "download contacts" and "Download Contacts with Custom Fields"? I've tried to download the custom fields option and nothing ever populates on the download....curious what the difference is between the data in the files?

The difference is:

The file you download from the "Download Contacts" section will only provide you with the general information that shows on the CRM page.

But the file you download from the "Download Contacts with Custom Fields" section will include all of the data from the Custom Fields you've created.

Since a file downloaded from "Download Contacts with Custom Fields" will contain more data, this can take more time to download.

where can we see the custom fields we created?
