Drip Campaigns - How are days counted?

Post by Darren4018 »

When you are creating a campaign, after you choose the email that you want to send, you must then fill in a number, Then Wait "7" days. Can you tell me if the email will send on the 7th day or does the system wait a full 7 days and send on the "8th"? day?

We use standard calendar days, not 24 hour periods to measure days.

For Instance: 11:55pm on Jan 1st - 10 minutes later, it will be 12:05am on Jan 2nd. This is "one day later" or commonly referred to as "tomorrow".

Another thing to consider is time zone. 1am on Jan 2nd on the East Coast is also 10pm Jan 1st on the West Coast. Your AllProWebTools account always measures time based on YOUR time zone as you have it configured from the main menu under "Settings"->"Company Information"

In the example of a marketing campaign, we also need to consider when the last action occurred. If your first action is configured for 1pm, and your lead was entered at 11am, 2 hours later (at 1pm) the first action will occur. If this first action occurs on Jan 1st, and the second action is set for "1 day later" - the second action would occur on Jan 2nd. Now if the lead was entered at 2pm on Jan 1st, the first action would not occur until 1pm the following day, which would be Jan 2nd at 1pm, then the second action would wait "1 day" and occur on Jan 3rd. All of this according to the time zone that was configured for your account.
