Newsletter sent out to everyone twice ?!?!?!
UGHHHHH. I definitely did not schedule this to go out twice.
If you look at our timeline you will see it went out to each tag twice. I can confirm with my test email that it went out to me twice as well.
Please get this send to stop immediately, we are going to get a lot of spam complaints off this.

Just so I know exactly how this all works, if I select multiple tags for a newsletter to go out to, and a customer has more than one of them, will they still only get the newsletter once?

Correct. AllProWebTools will check if a customer is in multiple tags and should not send to the same email address multiple times.

This seems to be happening again. I got 3 copies of this in both my test account and my normal account.

In my timeline the newsletter shows being sent to each of my tags three times.

This happened again. My test account and actual account both received the newsletter three times. Email shows 8415 and rising. Please make this stop!

I am planning on sending out our newsletter today at 1pm. How do I be sure it won't go out multiple times? The last three in a row have done that and I do not want more spam complaints...

One piece that would help is to send it out in small groups. If it would be possible to split your larger tags into a few smaller groups, that may help. Please let me know what happens!

I'll keep a close eye on it. Around 3pm I should know if it's going out to too many.
The other question is if everyone is actually getting it. Both my accounts received it 3 times last week, yet it sent around 8500 times. There are about 6700 subscribers. I'm wondering if some people got it multiple times and others not at all?

As for splitting up the groups, the major one is the buyers tag. I'm not sure how to easily create multiple tags off of that. And, since new buyers get that tag, I need to be sure anyone who gets the Buyers tag each week is applied to one of the other groups.
This has only been an issue for the last few newsletters, and we have had a huge group the entire time we have been on APWT.

First, I would like to let you know that your subscribers are all receiving your newsletter...one or more times. So yes, everyone is getting it, but some are getting it multiple times.
Thanks for mentioning the fact that you added the Email Marketing Pro, I'll be sure to check if that has anything to do with this.

I need to send our newsletter out today. is the multiple sends issue resolved? Does this have anything to do with email marketing pro? i can try turning that off maybe before I send the email.

Our programmers are still working on the multiple sends, and have been tracking down the issue. They have been monitoring it and there are fewer duplicate sends each week.
If you would like, you can try turning off the email marketing pro and see if that changes anything. Please let me know what happens, I'd love to get this resolved once and for all, and I would like to thank you for being so patient and helpful.

No worries! I'll be sending it at 1pm, so around 3pm is when I will know if it is sending out multiple times. If someone can be ready around that time with the "kill switch" that would be great, haha.

It seems to be going out a little slower than usual. In about two hours we should know if it is sending out multiples. Please have someone available to shut it down if need be. Sending out three copies to everyone on our list would be a major issue, obviously.

Did you guys do anything, or was is turning off email marketing pro that fixed it?
I do like email marketing pro, but if I need to turn it off while sending out the newsletter blast that is okay. Although I wonder if my ebay coupon campaign is going out multiple times as well if marketing pro is turned on.

Glad to hear they sent out fine this week! If you don't mind, I would like to ask you to turn Email Marketing Pro back on before sending out your newsletter next week. That way we can find out for certain whether or not the Email Marketing Pro is causing this or not.

Yikes! We are experiencing this same issue. Today's email went out 15,557 times, it's usually around 10,600. We also had 163 unsubscribes (we usually average 20). How can we make this stop? Looking back through email send reports it appears this has been happening since mid March with sends ranging from 11,500 to 16,600 :/ How do I find out exactly how many subscribers we have? And then what need to be done to stop the multiple sends so we don't blast people with emails?? thanks!

First, I will make sure we look into why your email was sending out multiple times.
Second, you can check how many subscribers you have by going to Email->View Emails and looking at the box titled Your June Statistics. There is a button on the top right of that box you can click to view more detailed statistics if needed.
Lastly, Andy, are you saying that you have not had any issues since turning off the Email Marketing Pro?

That is correct. I am out of the country right now so I am not able to closely monitor the sends, so I left email marketing pro turned off until I get back. I think I have fired off three or four newsletters with it turned off and have not had any trouble with multiple sends.

This issue has been addressed in the release of version 4.4 of AllProWebTools! If you experienced your newsletter sending out multiple times in the past, you should have no future issues!
Also, you can add back the Email Marketing Pro webtool if you had removed it!
