T&C for pre-orders error
We have numerous customers complaining that the system is no recognizing that they are agreeing to pre-order terms, and therefore they cannot complete checkout.

Thanks for letting us know about this. Do you know what customers this has happened to? If so, you should be able to go to their CRM record and see the Abandoned Cart of what they were trying to purchase.
Could you provide me with a couple examples of customers this has happened to so that we can look into this more?
Also, are your customers simply prevented from checking out when the try to pre-order, or is there a specific error message or something that happens?

Order 21632 had this issue. It left an abandoned cart, but he called us and we built the order off of it.
This particular item is very desirable, so it is no surprise he called. On some of the less exclusive pre-orders it is likely the customer just moved on to another retailer. I remember hearing about this a while back but figured it was a one-off thing. Shane seems to have heard about it more often.
i will update if I hear of another customer. And I will try to replicate when I have some spare time.

Thanks for the info! I'll make sure we look into this right away, but as soon as you have some more example customers for us, or even better, you can replicate the problem and show me in a screenshare, that would be greatly appreciated!

Hey John, I can't get it to replicate. There is another customer from the weekend - dyl********il.com
He has an abandoned cart that we are leaving alone, in case that helps.

He had ablembandoned carts over the weekend, haven't talked to him yet but safe bet is it's the same problem.
Until this is figured out we are okay with disabling the checkbox

Thank you! If you could leave those abandoned carts alone for now until we have a chance to look into them a little bit, I would appreciate that!
Since you mentioned you haven't spoken to the second customer yet, would you mind asking them a few things?

- Make sure they indeed have the same checkout problem
- Ask what computer and internet browser they are using

The checkbox for the Pre Order terms and conditions should be disabled now. If you could confirm for us that it is no longer there, I would appreciate it!
