Alias codes not working

Post by Lfrailey173 »

Hi! Our alias codes that a customer gets when they fill in our first time customer sign up box are not working. The system sends the customer our welcome email and generates a code specific to that customer, when the customer tries to use they are getting an error message "The coupon code entered (2days) has expired or was entered incorrectly." The code entered was not "2days" but rather the code the customer received "A586939312" buyer #38817. This is the third customer this weekend I've heard from...I don't have the codes yet or screenshots yet from the other two....can you please help fix this.

It would help if you could provide more details or additional examples of this issue. My research has found:

Your buyerid 33817 does not show a record of being sent any "welcome emails".

Your Welcome email (id# 194) is not configured to use coupon code "2days" it is configured to use coupon code "mr24".

Coupon Code "2days" is an expired coupon from 2016 and therefore the error message is correct in stating that the coupon code has expired.

Please look again at buyer #38817 you will see she was sent our "welcome email" 8 hours ago and she opened the email 8 hours ago also.

The alias code that she received in her email is A586939312 which when you type it in triggers the error with the "2days" code which yes is bizarre as the 2days code is not associated with our welcome email...the mr24 is which creates a unique code for each sign up and emails to the customer. As you saw "2days" was an old cyber monday sale code. The customer is not typing in "2days" she is typing in "A586939312".

I'm waiting to get the screenshots and emails from the other two customers. But you should be able to see on buyer #38817 that she did receive the welcome email and try using the code for yourself on our website...it will give you the "2days" error. Below is a screenshot of buyer #38817 crm profile
