Google Calendar

Post by Dave »

There is a known issue with Google Calendar at this time.

Google has changed their requirements for accessing Google Calendar and it is causing unpredictable behavior. We have reached out to Google for documentation on the new requirements, and have received vague and conflicting information.

We continue to investigate this issue.

Please report any issues that you find with Google Calendar by clicking the reply button here so that we can address these issues quickly.

The development team has been able to authorize with the new Google authentication system, but currently the connection only lasts for 1 hour. We have not found any documentation about this new requirement from Google to explain why the connections are failing after 1 hour.

We will continue to look for a solution.

I'm reporting this issue with connecting Google Calendar.

When attempting to connect my Google Calendar, I receive an Error message. The steps I take are:
  • Settings<Users
    Select a user
    Go to the Calendar tab
Click on "Sign in with Google"
Then select which calendar I would like to use
    Then this

I attempted multiple times and with 2 different browsers, Chrome and Brave

We are continuing to make progress on this issue. In our development environment, we have resolved the Calendar Authorization and repaired the Calendar Products functionality. We are continuing to work on the User Calendars for Followup Times.

Once everything has been fully tested in the development environment, an update will be sent out to all user accounts.

The majority of Google Calendar functionality has been restored and an update has been released to all AllProWebTools accounts.

You may need to re-integrate Google Calendar by following the instructions in these 2 videos:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mxMmhE3uQUY

and

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kY2RFPsEUZs

The process has been simplified and there is no longer any need to copy and paste any codes.

Please report any issues you find to this forum so we can address them ASAP.
