Organize Products by Event Date

Hello,

Can an option be added in Settings --> Store to organize products by Event Date, for the sites that sell events and tickets and stuff like that? Often times, events get added in randomly, when they are scheduled, so they are not always in order of event date on the site, and it's a bit of manual work to do this by hand (through CSS).
