Notification/Feature of seeing multiple people tasked from one task

Scenario:
My supervisor tasked me and my peer a task, however each of us receive the task not knowing that we both are tasked the same task due to the current format. Both of us start tackling the task without knowing the other is already working on it.

This can lead to both team members doing the same tasks when only each of them only needed to take on a portion.

A feature or added label at the top of the task stating who else is assigned to this task (within the task view) would be really helpful for clarification.
