How to transfer your domain away from AllProWebTools
Wednesday August 9, 2023
Step 1: Copy Your DNS Records
Before starting the transfer, you must copy all of your DNS records. These records control where your website, email, and login connections point to.
If your DNS records are not copied correctly:
-
Your email may stop working
-
You might lose access to your AllProWebTools account
-
You may no longer be able to send emails through AllProWebTools
To prevent this, open your DNS Manager and copy all DNS records into a text file before you move your domain.
You can follow these simple instructions here: How to Access Your DNS Manager
Step 2: Pick Your New Registrar
Choose the company where you want to move your domain (for example, GoDaddy, Namecheap, or Google Domains).
Step 3: Request Your EPP Code
To transfer your domain, you’ll need an EPP (Authorization) code. This code proves you own the domain and allows it to be moved.
To get your code, the business owner of the website must send a text message to 970-612-1515 requesting EPP transfer code.
Step 4: Start the Transfer
Once you have your EPP code, log in to your new registrar’s website and begin the transfer process. They’ll ask you to enter the code you received from AllProWebTools.
Step 5: Approve the Transfer
After you enter the code, your new registrar will handle the rest. The transfer usually finishes within a few days.
